First, I have NO idea about music production, so all this MPC stuff is totally foreign to me. 
I want to buy my roomate an MPC2500 for christmas. I've seen one for sale by VST. My question is this...is 80GB the larget I can go as far as Hard Drives are concerned? I've seen HipHopTools selling with an upgraded option of a 120GB Hard Drive. Can the MPC 2500 even hold that GB?? Looking at the Akai website, it's expandable to 80GBs and they recommend that 80GB from only one seller.
Since i have NO idea about ANY of this machinery, and the MPC2500 is a christmas present, I want to make sure I'm getting the right thing
