On the fly sequence recording through line-in

Hey dogans.

I'm slowly learning how to use my 2000xl thanks to the help from this forum . I have one more question though:

I already asked about on the fly MIDI recording but how about simply recording through the line in into the sequencer using overdub? Can the 2000xl work as an external sequencing tool? Obviously it would not be quantized but can it still pick it up outside of the sampling window?

No, it can't do sampling in any other mode. The 1000 and 2500 can.
