new to the forum, even newer to production in general..
been saving up for the mpc-1000 for about a year now
haven't copped it yet but im gettin ready to make the final decision
and i got quick a question for all the veterans out there who have exp w/the box..in the past year i recall coming across alot of mixed reviews, specifically ones claiming the pads to be faulty..my q is this a real problem &&have they fixed it since the original production of the box? &&some say you gotta spend $200 on upgrade pads but I aint sure if that's just for the older models..Im plannin to get the mpc1000BK, black on black with the version 2 update..anybody? peace out. stay up. amateurama

have you used it before? moneys tight..and patience is thin..ive heard people pump some decent shyt out of these babies, ive pretty much made my decision anyway. just concerned about the pads

Sure. Its not a bad machine at all. Actually its kinda dope. And when you get the new JJOS it makes it even better. My problem with it is the pads suck and and theres not enough dedicated buttons. I also dont like its size or the fact that the screen doesnt flip. Im used to the XL which is the mp I got. I used the 2500 also and I think that sh!t is dope as funk. If I had a choice I would buy a 2500

i see. well considering this gonna be my first mpc ever, i wont even know what i was missing with the tilting screen right? lol. and i been researchin on the jj os, willing to throw down the dough for that. so id be pretty much aight with a 1k. ..do you know if you were using an older model? i know i heard the pads were fixed..lots of different opinions out there though..

i got mine from american musical supply last week and it has the new pads.

ill shyt fam. no jams? nothin? good to hear..on another note, im curious..im planning on ordering from americanmusical too..you cop the package that comes w/the free gig bag or just the box? i was gonna go for the package deal but it seems shady to me..idk..why am I getting this free gig bag..lol..maybe im paranoid

just be warned, the gig bag isnt for the mpc, its smaller. its like an acessory bag. i was a lil upset about that considering they sell a gig bag for the mpc. but what can u do.

sometimes the pads hit twice but that might just be me not hitting hard enough. im pretty softhanded cause i been djing all these years. usually when i put some muscle on it, it seems to work jsut fine.

ah, aight then. yeah lol that's kinda twisted eh? oh well ain't nothing a sweater and a backpack can't take care of..

i heard that one before..hopefully that's all it is..if you say the problem seems to cease when you put a lil muscle to it? then i guess it just takes a lil warming up to..

exactly. i mean they have one for 25.00 that fits the mpc, by the same brand as the mini one you get. so you can get that there too. just doesnt seem logical to give u a smaller one.

i love it so far though.
