do you ever look at the soundwaves or note the meters indicating that your sample is panned even though you haven't panned at all? I'm recording an alkaholiks song off of wax and I noticed that everything was slightly panned to one side. So I took off the Whitelabel and S-arm (numark TT...interchangable tone arms) and threw on my M44G with straight arm and recorded the same thing.
The Whitelabel with S-arm threw the pan off about 1 or 2 percent to the right...no biggie, but he M44G on straight arm produced a far more visable pan to the left, by about 9%. What the hell...?
