Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Ok, here's another one.

I am trying to hook up my PSR275 with my XL so I can use the internal sounds in the PSR, but something is not right.

I have the midi in to (A) out on the XL, and midi out to midi in (1) on the XL.

How do I set this 2 up?

I've read that link, but it does not tell me how to set it up properly. It just tell me what "midi" is and what it does.

In my particular situation I need someone to tell me how to set it up.

I would really appreciate it if someone could.

It sounds like you have it hooked up correctly, Maybe check it with different MIDI cables.

Do you have the MIDI ch on the MP set up?

Set the "S:DRUM1:" to "1A-Device01", then set your PSR to receive CH 1.

See if that works, Pe@Ce

I got it.. everything is working now. I just had to turn the local control to off on my keyboard.

But I still have a problem.. maybe is my ignorance of just not knowing the proper setup, but I have the drum program on my mpc coming out of the mpc out, and I have the sounds from my keyboard coming out of the keyboard speakers.
How do I merge all sounds into one?

I'm assuming that I would have to get a mixing board of some sort now? and I would have to find a way to record my song into some kind of multitrack program if I want to work with my synth?

mixer or sound card with multiple inputs / outputs is what you need
you on the right track

and to record the output of the above a multitrack program like cool edit will get the job done for you

(i prefer Cubase myself)
