Not sure if anyone else has been looking for black pads for their 1000 like I have, but I got word from mpcstuff.com that they will be selling black pads with their pad upgrade for an extra $30 next march... I'm not looking forward to spending $210 on new pads so if anyone else knows where to get them now, post a link!

Just emailed the MPCSTUFF.com dude..

Me..
Hey I heard you are getting black pads soon, specifically in March..
Is there any chance it can happen sooner?

Him...
No sooner on the pads. The black pads will only be replacement to the upgraded pad kits so its not going to help the shitty pad situation from the old pads. Its just going to comsmetically alter the new style pad fix so you will have to have the new style pads to use the black pad sets.

so its jsut an upgrade of the actual pads not the mechanism. . so looks like i am getting those soft pads

From what I understand from the the email I was sent is that you can buy the pad pgrade now for $180 which comes with the standard grey pads.
But, in march, you can add $30 to your $180 and get black pads with your upgrade kit instead of the grey...

Here's what I was sent:

"The pad kits will still be sold with the standard grey. The upgrade to

the black pads will run $30.00

Best Regards,

Michael Minehart"

So I just figured they will be selling the black pads by themselves, and they will work as long as you have the new pad set in your 1000.

Right?

maybe I'm way late, due to not checking mpcstuff OR vst for these pads in awhile, but VST does offer black pads for the 1k for $40. Kinda pricier than I was expecting (it's just rubber) but I may bite anyway...
they can be found here:

True, but anyone who's like me and is a cheap bastard and would want to buy them directly from the vst site and not from ebay where they're almost $7 more expensive.

With gas the way it is, I'm trying to save all the money I can. Hell, probably shouldn't even buy the damn pads in the first place!

On the real its the same price if not more, because on there vst site they jack the shipping way up...I bought some stuff from them before and they charged me $15 for ground shipping for some buttons....The shipping they say on there site is a estimate then they hit you with the real shipping charge....Plus its just easier to get them from there ebay site and you can also use paypal. On there main site you cannot use paypal....but all in all im getting them before you cant get them anymore, just keep that in mind to bro when thinking about buying them....

That's wack if they jack up the price of shipping...if they have it posted at $5, it should stay $5.

I've been looking into these for awhile so I will probably cop some....I wonder how many sets they made. You think they may run out?
