Replacing Note Variation Slider

Hey Everyone

The note variation slider on my 2000xl is broken. I see they are pretty cheap on mpc-stuff.com, but is the installation tricky? Lots of soldering involved?

I don't thinks its that hard a job if you know what you're doing with a soldering iron.
But I don't so when my slider broke I bought a new one for about £5 from Cimple and had it fitted by Studiocare (UK) for £25 plus VAT.

before you go buying the part and paying to have it put in...try cleaning it out by either blowing it out or using some canned air and get a q tip or something similar and wipe the inside of the slider contacts. i always thought mine had broke and i did this and it started working again just fine.
