Question regarding zip drives

Hello all,

This past Monday I pulled my MPC out of the closet where it has sat for over a year. I hooked everything up but the MPC is not reading the zip drive. Pretty much all my stuff is on zips.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do? Is there a way I can hook up my mpc to a computer.

sorry for the dumb questions but I've been out of the MPC game for a minute now.

My mpc has 8 outs and a scsi port.

do you have power to zipdrive(green light on)?.did you check if you are set to the right scsi port(shift 3).last but not least,your scsi cable might be bad or not plugged in all the way.as far as reading samples on your computer,I have not tried with the mpc,but I did do it with my 808.I had to find a file conversion program for the file type(google the file type).hope this might help.
