a future project (hopefully something will happen with this over winter break) involves me creating a switchable external module which will allow a qlink signal to be temporarily replaced with an infrared signal that ranges over 10 inches. 10 inches allows for much more control over 0-127 values than 2 inches do.

the specs of the sliders and the infrared sensor line up. it's just a matter of creating solder points on the left operations board on wihch the sliders live. i need to talk to some people to find out how to do this. i may need to make a circuit board for the IR sensor too.

it will be something you can plug into the mpc via a hole drilled above the qlinks. the IR sensor itself will be housed in a hinged box, and connected probably via XLR cable to the mpc left operations board. the hinge will be for vertical control and horizontal control.

ideally, i will be able to create this so that it's "Switchable" ie the infrared sensor can remain plugged in, with a 3way switch turning it from OFF to Q1 to Q2.

grublet also has this in mind.

Yea but what does it look like from the sides/back. And is it adjustable?

It looks like its been f#ckin' Grubletized... what you think it looks like.

No hinge yet, no time yet, soooonn.

grublet also has this in mind.

Word. Except my idea is going to involve mounting the IR sensor on a spirograph machine, and then spinning it all around in some crazy circles.

I'm thinking of installing some kind of rodent into my MPC. It would be fully adjustable and everything, you'd be able to tilt it.

I need a girlfriend that is fully adjustable, and if she tilts too, that is definitely a plus.

Edit: Maybe I should try installing a rodent into my girlfriend instead... Would this make her more adjustable?>

Any help is appreciated!

I took my screen out and replaced it with one of these. Prints out every thing in real time. It's the future of technology!
