Fu*k, it's read only - would changing the jumper make it write?

i doubt it. the jumper probably justs sets to slave or master and it won't work at all as slave. although im not expert.

shame - was getting reader to order one!

That's the second drive i've tried now. I might just fork out for the one from MPCStuff and be done with it.

I don't know, it let's me put in the CF after it's turned on but if i take it out and put it back in it freezes so i don't think it is hotswappable. If you do want to buy one for the read only feature i can sell you this one for £15 - let me know.

this drive works. and is half the price after shipping as the mpcstuff one.

hmm, I thought that it didn't work because it is IDE and not IDE-ATAPI

have you tried the AEIDEDMD4B reader? (saving, hot-swappable...)

damn. i alredy got mine ill try it monday to see if i get as lucky as lunatic....
