hey guys after a lot of browsing i am left a bit clueless lol,

can i load .aif files on to the mpc1000?

i' just curious cuz it wud work great with all my reason refills, there are some great sounds in there, you guys should check them asap!

no.. you will have to convert them to WAV files (44.100khz 16bit to be exact).

do you know of any programs that will covert .aif to .wav files at that bitrate?

Its a ton of programs out there. I jus did a basic search on yahoo. Now go finish the rest.

yeah, basically ANY audio editor out there should let you open a file and save it as a different format. if you don't have any programs that will do that on your computer right now... i'd recommend that you download AUDACITY, which is a free program that will do more than just the basic stuff you'll need... just do a google search for audacity and you'll find it...

There is also a nice Open Source audio converter for Mac (you said .aif)
called MAX that converts also whole folders n stuff:

goldwave has a batch converter. and it has a really long demo mode. ive been using it strictly as a converter for over a year now.
