"The Shure Whitelabel cartridge is a truly revolutionary piece of DJ technology. It is an optimal choice for Digital DJs, providing superb tracking of time-coded records, and minimal sonic coloration when mixing between digital files and analog records. "

The sound will be different but thats more down to the emphasis each one puts on diff frequencies, bringin the tonal balence diff from the previous.. not the same thing as colouring the sound.. and those white label ones are flat, so u get the sound as it was intended.. same way studio monitors are flat response for when mixin tracks etc, as aposed to hi fi speakers and various others which were made with dips and boosts in various parts of the spectrum

flat ? you mean the sound or the tip it self the diamond is flat? that cant be to accurate in sound you'll get more surface noise on older records,
an audio phile needle has a pointed needle which get's in the gruv deeper only noise you would hear is the dust and dirt thats stuck in the gruv, with a good VPI cleanig you can almost remove those particles,

I mean the sound not the stylus.. and I mean flat sound in the sense of flat representation.. not the sound is "flat" but it is being picked up / put out at the same levels / tonal balance as it is, same way studio monitors are flat response.. compared to hi fi speakers / dj speakers / whatever else which will emphesis various frequencies
