Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

2?, First off does anyone has problems with connection of usb, when i hook the usb cable to the mpc its nor recognized, im using mac mini, everything else works as far as other devices such as hard drives etc...2nd? when i sync up the mpc to protools,using mbox 1, m-audio midi man uno, mac mini, the timing is all off, when i press play either midi time code or midi clock the mpc starts and stops. can anyone help?

which os are you using? the first os had the problem that you had to remove the usb cable after file transfer. on the newer os the usb cable can be left inserted.
to get the usb connection to work you need either an internal harddrive installed or a compact flash card inserted. then goto the save/load page and press the usb tab. now if you hit connect the computer will connect to the device that is currently selected in the usb page. now the new icon shold appear on your desktop.
and on a mac you should always trash the mpc icon after file transfer is done.

USB isnt "instantly" recognized like your other USB stuff.
It wont Show up until you {mode}{pad 2} usb tab.

THEN it should be recognized.

You have to do that every time...

i brought a new usb cable, It still isnt workn, I think it may be the mpc 2500. no icon is showing on the mac. i press mount and still nothing happens.
