flash card compatibility

waddup yall!! so i ordered my 1k, waitin patiently for it to arrive =] i got the 128RAM expansion, but no fc upgrade..well it just so happens i got an extra 128MB flash card for my camera laying around..only thing is i dunno if it'll be compatible =[ i aint got the box or manual for the camera so its kinda hard to tell what im workin with..on the front end of the card it reads "THNCF 128MBA (HOOAA) JAPAN 0243KK.." anybody get anything from that? it's maybe, an inch and a half by two inches, an eighth an inch thick..muchos gracias to anyone that is able to come up with somethin..adios

mk1k uses type II CF cards. maybe lookup your cards specs and see if its a type 2. if its is, it works. if its not, i dont think it will but dont quote me on that

based on what i googled its a type1.

i just read in a thread below this however, that the type 1 is just a different size and any type2 reader can fit a type1, so u mayt be good to go. best thing is to just give it a try and dont force it.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a direct purchase link for a Type II CF? I'm thinking of getting one just for the novelty of it but I'm actually having a bit of trouble finding any. Is anybody even making them anymore?

Almost makes you feel sorry for those poor schlubs who believe Akai reps when they tell them to use type II CF.. where are they even going to get it?

the card the mpc 1k actually comes with is a type I card, type II cards are hard as fuk to find.

well, i guess thats cased closed on the cf cards..type I, type II, type whatever--it don't matta!! so cut the jibba jabba & start bangin out some beats ppl!!
