128 or 256, what do U think?

i going to get a larger storage card this week, specifcally cause my melody loops are taking alot of space- what i love a about the 1000 is that u can record your sound module outputs and save it in a program(which i call "loops")than work around your existing drums are create a new drum pattern thats better.
Anyways i cant decide if i should get 128mb or 256mb?

since i use autoload, 128mb should be the ideal since this is the max memory.. anyone have any good techinques that will benefit from the 256. i assume if u dont use autoload then 256 is great because u can load more sounds. is the only way for me to load another 128mb of sounds is to turn off autoload, power off/power on, then load the whole new folder??? any ideas ?

don't it take up to a 2 gig card? Super Size it..

i got like three 128's and i still dont have enough room i got alot of vocal samples and just with one program on the card which spans all four of the sample banks one 1k that takes up alot of room and then i have a card with just seq and a card with kits and songs in like a week i'm gonna need to get more cards but i cant aford the 1 gig around ct its like 300

cant you just have like one card that has say 256 or 512 then when it gets full save to cpu?

I'd go for 256, since that gives you space to save the whole 128megs of memory, AND scrap/work in progress sounds or a whole backup/variant of the whole set.

If you only have one 128meg card, there will be more and more hassle with file/card shuffling as you get close to the card limit.

That's my thinking when I got the 256. And the price difference isn't all that much either.

I think I would go for a 256, I don't think they are much more expensive than a 128 anyway. I haven't seen to many 1 or 2 gig cards around, but I bet those are expensive.

They had cards on sale at TARGET for 59.99... I forget how big.

i was looking on the net for cards and i found a san disk card which is 1.0 gb for from 149.95 on buy.com they have tons of cards on there so take a look if you feel the need.

The MPC 1k uses Compact Flash type II right?
