Sampling with MPC.

Im gonna be moving away for a while and can only bring one piece of hardware with me, since my ASR-10 is to big it will have to be my MPC 2000XL. Now, what im wondering is: I got this great sampled rhodes for my ASR-10, could i in some way sample like say, every C note of the 61 keys with the MPC and connect a MIDI keyboard to the MPC and play it, like a regular piano? Is there anyway to make the sounds pitch between the samples? I hope someone understands what i mean.

yea you can sample c and lay it out auto chromaticaly. you can only get 16 notes at a time though.

only 16 huh? i guess that will have to do.

you can actually get 64 notes with auto chromatic. Look in the manual. Auto chromatic is different than 16 levels.

But with either 64 or 16 the length of the note will change with the pitch. The only way around this would be to loop the sample and play it with note off in params. if this makes sense. i'm not the best explainer.

auto chrom is 64 and at the same time creating it's own program.

16 levels is 16.

Check the 2kxl manual, look for auto chromatic.
