Play/Record (Record ready)

I'm having two problems.

1st: while in Play/Record mode when I try to change sequences it tells me I "need to disable Record ready mode"

2nd: No matter what program number i'm using, even if the sequencer is stopped, when changing sequences it resets to #1 every time.

What OS are you using would help too? Unless you in song mode you can't do what your trying to do if i am understanding you right. It's not like XL or other MPC's with Next Sequence.

Regarding "next sequence" this is straight from the manual

This is the normal mode for sequence playing. In this mode,
it is impossible to “punch in” to Record or Overdub mode
while playing the sequence. However, in this mode it is
possible to change sequences while playing.

With Vailixi 3.50, I can set Enable Transport Mode Error Warning: OFF, and it works.

Just wondering about the old way.

pretty sure this happens to me as well. I can turn the warning off, but it still won't let me change sequences which is kind of silly.

also on the 3.50 OS I thought I was going to be able to hear samples on the input even when I wasn't in Sample Record mode...like the 60. But I can't right? I can't figure out how to set it up if I can. Uhhh, anyway wish that was a possiblitiy for the next OS.

Yours is working fine.

Zeusmajor's issue is quite different to this.

The behavior was for the purpose of stopping the transport errors halting the system on sequence change attempts when the sequencer is placed in RECORD(RECORD READY) mode.

Such function works by blocking the sequence change attempts when the sequencer is placed in RECORD(RECORD READY) mode.

Wording from the web page:

Note that when the sequencer is placed in PLAY mode the system will allow the sequence change requests as per usual.

I didn't list that in the feature set.

I didn't say this had been implemented.

It might well be. With all caveats that may ensue as a result.

The MPC60 input monitoring is essentially hard wired independent of its voice DSP chip. Effectively an IN to OUT loop.

The MPC3000 has no such independent input monitoring circuitry.

Monitoring of input signals on an MPC3000 is handled very, very, VERY differently to the simple method that was implemented an MPC60.

I do like the send/return option on the 60.

If the MPC3000 OS can be "futzed" enough to present some internal I/O limitations/differences in a manner that "seems" familiar or cool for "other purposes" ( ala, those you mention ! )

Believe me ...... I'll do it.

Until then ...... enjoy where things have got to so far.
