If you use the 3000, don't let it go. Workflow won't be the same.

Thanks for the tip elmacaco. I'm finding that i enjoy working with my samples in wavelab first and then sending them as waves to the MC909 using USB for further tweaking and then SPDIF'n them over to the MPC3000 for sequencing. This was the reasoning behind the possibility of getting the MPC4000.
As you probably know, the MPC3000 and the original EMU E4XT won't read Wave files, so this has been my mode of operation lately. In fact, this was the main reason i invested in the MC909. The 909 has been a love/hate relationship for me. Great piece of gear for sound creation and manipulation, but it's a deadend road as an all in one central piece.
Once again, i now have TONS of stuff iv'e created with it and have used it on that i can't part with it............YET!

Do you have the MPC Editor Program? $30, converts Wav to SND and you can create programs lay out the samples on the pads how you want, edit envelopes, filter, tuning etc right on the screen. Then export the PGM and SND's to a zip and load it into your MPC3000!!!

It is for PC, if you are on mac, you can use the PGM maker, which I think is free, but not as extensive (from what I hear)

I do it all the time on my 60, which I have to export the Editor PGM's as 3000 files, which the 3.10 OS reads and converts to 60 format.

That sounds exactly like what i need!! Thanks man! Forgive my newbie-ness, but i'm a rookie at all this computer software stuff.
