I just tested my first mpc 1000 today and am interested in purchasing. However I have never owned or used a sampler,sequencer...wondering if it is worth the cash and if there are any addition needs...I have limited computer tech/software will this be a problem?

1. Figure out what an MPC 1000 does.
2. Decide if you want to be able to do that stuff.
3. If you want to be able to do that stuff, go to step 5, if not, go to step 4.
4. No, you don't need this machine.
5. Yes, buy the MPC 1000, unless you find another machine that suits your needs better.

I'd start with something less expensive and leave yourself a window to buy other stuff you might like. Maybe a Roland sampler or something.

^^^ Definitely. an MPC 1000 is a big investment, after the initial 700-1000 to get in the door, you will probably need more add ons and such. I myself have poured at least 1 grand into my MPC so far, and I have the Hookup at Guitar Center. So definitely do your research...
