I have not put a "STOP SAMPLING" (STOP SHORT OF THE SET TIME) button/function into the sample screen at this stage.

There is howver, another function in Vailixi that stops all playing samples when the sequencer is stopped from PLAY/RECORD modes.

Not quite the same thing though.

The stop sampling function will no doubt appear in a future release.

Oh I read it wrong I thought he was talking about when your in the main screen and you stop playing the sequence the sample will stop.

more than one program, and mute off for all pad and not for only two would be awesome!!!, rohan, do you think it's possible in your futur os?

Before i start, I would like to share a secrete with you fellow die hard mpc3000 users. Most of you already know about the auto chop feature (more or less) using 16 level velocity. Well i didnt like the way the auto chop worked because its was so random. So I would sometimes setup up a bank with all the same samples and then going through them setting the velocity for each pad to get my start points. Of course i would have to set them on note on or mono and setup cutoffs so they dont over lap.

Then it hit me, what if we were able to change the velocity levels for each pad in 16 levels mode. Something like a menu that would look like a track mute screen but instead of showing track names it would show velocity values for each pad allowing you to adjust. Think about all the advantages.

- it would be a poor mans auto chop allowing you to setup different starting point for each pad by adjusting the velocity value
- it would all be internal to one pad taking advantage of the limited 1 program
- since its all in one pad, it would have global adjustments. turning mono on the sample would allow them all to cut each other off without have to individually set each cutoff relations. OR, tuning the SINGLE sample would tune them all and so on and so forth (velocity decay etc).
- There so much a feature like this can add but ultimately its WORKFLOW

A Similar menu can be added for the auto tune 16 level allowing you to tune each pad like the sp-1200. No mpc has this and i dont know why because its so useful for sample instruments.

Heres how i thought it up, after entering 16 levels (pitch or velocity) press the unused HELP button to enter the "trackmute-like menu" screen showing the pitch values or velocity values for each pad, SIMPLE.

Yeah i know im probably just dreaming but i really think it can happen. Thanks for reading.

Being able to set a simple loop point on a sample is the most important for me, second would be sample while sequencer is playing. More than one active program & Round Robin cycling on pad layers would be nice too.

The first three posts in this thread are hilarious. Anyways heres what I have accumulated from the thread, at least from the MPC3000 users.

- More then one program
- Mono entire program (unusable because of the one program limitation)
- Faster chopping, zone chopping, chop shop
- Global changes

All of these request can be somewhat answered with my concept. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=120865

Other requests:

- Track mute (can be also be implemented in my concept by pressing Help when not in 16 levels modes)
- Input through or sample while sequence in play
- Folder options
- Enable slider for data value usage
- Stop sampling before end time
- Purge all unused samples
- More punch a pad implementations
- Loop sample
- HPF

Other ideas im just throwing out there:
- Be able to remember selected bank per track (fake multiple programs)
- Being able to load banks instead of whole programs (again fake multiple programs)
- In edit sound mode, have copy sample start and end data value to zone start and end option.

Basically I don't want the MPC 3000 changed that much. I don't need it to have any "added" features. That right there is the genius of Rohan's Vailixi OS. It mostly takes what are already features of the MPC and expands them a little bit without fvcking with things too deeply. That dude understands how G's are banging out beats. And 4 REAL if I was able to stop sampling before end time, that would improve my sh!t a little bit.

I feel what you are saying, thats why my proposal was what it was. Its not really adding a new feature more than it is taking advantage of whats already there.

In all honesty, i just want another update because even the little things would make the purchase worth it.
