Keyboard Set up's

whats up im getting a keyboard for x mass and was wondering how you guys have yours hooked up to your mpc i have the 1000 i know you hook it up threw the midi but thats it...can you record the piano into the mpc if its hooked up threw the midi?? also check this video...how does he have his keybaord hooked up to his computer??

midi does not transmit any audio. but data parameters information. by hooking up keyboard and mpc with midi, you only trigger sounds off given instruement, control various aspects such as FX, sound bank patches, etc. but no audio data is being transfered.

ok heres a better question M-Audio... what is it which is the best to hook up a snyth and your mpc too and record threw your comp on pro tools?
