How Can I get Sound From My MPC

How Can I get Sound From My MPC

Sorry if this question has been answered already. I've looked every on this forum and can't seem to find an answer. I am newb in the truest sense...

I just got an MPC-1000 for Xmas and wanted to know how I get sound. I do not have powered monitors and I do not have a sound card. All I have is my PC. Is it as simple as plugging in some powered monitors into the MPC?

Do I need to connect the MPC to a mixer, then the the mixer to some speakers?

Again, I have looked throughout the forum. Maybe I'm just missing it, but I have looked. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

All I have is the little speakers and sub my PC came with.

Well if u on a budget u can still use what you have until you get what u need. U may need to buy some adapters(1-4 bucks). But ne ways you could connect your MPC the LINE IN on your PC and speakers to the LINE OUT on your PC. Now u can control the over all sound via the PC's built in mixer. Can anyone suggest a good Stand alone usb sound card for around $300? Thanks.

Can I do something like this:

Axiom 61 -> MPC1000
MPC1000 -> EMU 0404
EMU 0404 -> Powered Monitors and PC (Reason 4.0 via USB)

Any help is appreciated.

if you have the speakers connected to your computer already, you can use the MPC Audio Out(s) and send those to your PC Audio input(s).

that should work.
