timing issues

hey when I input my sample in the mpc everything is well the tempo is on and the loop sounds perfect but when I go to put my drums on em even the snare on every second bar repeatly is of off what am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you could be using the wrong time signature for your track. You may have it set to 4/4 and your sample may be in 3/4 time. Then again it could be something totally different....I'm just throwing ideas out there.

is there a way to determine whether it is 3/4 or 4/4

just turn your timing off and you'll be good.

it's hard to really explain without being there but the rythm of 3/4 time is 1-2-3 for each bar of the music.....where as 4/4 is 1-2-3-4 count for every bar.
