finding the bpm of a sample

i would have to say that , that right there is the only drawback on the mpc 1000 . the 2000xl will give you the exact bpm of a loop . i dont know why they took that feature out on the 1000 and 2500 . that really sucks . i hate using the tap tempo button . there has to be an easier way . if anybody knows any other way please let me know . i know im not the only one that feels this way .

so you there is no way to look at the BPM per Bar like on the XL?

on the 2000s it is a breeze

yes on the 2000xl it's a breeze . but not on the 1000 or 2500 . like i said thats the only drawback . fresh pic by the way . good stuff

I use Mixed in Key software to analyze all my audio files.

by the time I'm done with a beat i got a chalk board full of numbers and math symbols, on some einstien ****.

just tried it on a loop I had at 99bpm in the sequence (funky drummer), the formula gave me 98.58 -- pretty crazy that that works

some tips:

if your start point is not 0, then you should subtract the start point from the end point to get your true end point number

if your loop is more than one bar, I would assume you should multiply 10584000 times X, where X is the number of bars, then divide by the end point
