almost all 80's hiphop has very open drums that you can sample a bar from... but you're probably just better off searching for some 808 drum machine sounds, since that's all 80's drums are really...

What about very early 80s rock breaks? real big drums to be found there

errrm then look for some 80s records with drum breaks on then!
