ASR-10 and a PCD-47b CARD READER!!!! WORKING?

can any one confirm that the microtech pcd-47b works with the asr-10?

I've been looking into this for awhile and basically the few people who have said this works haven't been able to give enough info out where other people can easily do it. I'm almost wondering if something changed over the years to where it will only work on certain models. I'm not all that familiar with scsi or asr's (i just bought an asr this week but it hasn't arrived) and only have one device that i use scsi with (hooked up to my computer with a scsi card). Anyway, i'm not knowledgeable on this but have researched pretty hard and it seems that many people are having problems, even when using the same card reader of those who have it working.

I would definitely like to try putting a cardreader in my ASR... but I don't have the SCSI card in it.

For someone w/o the SP2 this would (presumably) be cool.

Not really an alternative for my tastes, and certainly not a solution. It saves DATA in "Banks" which are equal to a floppy disk in size, and can hold a max of 200-no matter how big your card is. To make matters worse it comes with a ridiculous remote control. Also, since it's internal it is of course not swappable.

Dope. I was really wondering if anyone had really ever done it as i had yet to see any pics. I'm loving how everyone is taking this old stuff to the present. Unfortunately i don't have scsi on mine, i just couldn't pass up the price.

WORD! This thing will give life back to those ASR's. I am planning to get one my self and the only con I could find was those floppies I had to use. Anyone wanna share the install info?

any modifications necessary to install? or is it basicly just "plug and play" ?!?!
