Recording vinyl in mpc

when i record my vinyl in my mpc(vinyl in good quality)i've got not a
good sound,basic.Maybe i must try to record in my soundcard,i don't know
what i must do for having a good sound.

are you using a turntable and also a phono preamp or are you using a pencil at the end of a paper funnel?

please be specific as to what equipment you are using and how you have it hooked up. if everything is hooked up fine, it might just be bad vinyl or a bad needle.

i got a little mixer preamplified with 2 channels(mixer fo turntable)"koolsound"hooked to my turntable,and the
mixer to the mpc(yesterday i have plug a thing,i don't know how translate in english,in french mass earth,it's write gn.. on the turntable and i got a better sound but not good enough.My vinyls is in very good quality,how can i do for having a better sound,i know with filters and eq but i don't understand very well these things.


ps:i record via record in(analog)in the mpc.

also, make sure that the preamp on the mixer is on. some mixers have a switch which changes between phono and line. make sure it's on phono.

it's what i do,and i don't see button for switch on the preampli,so i think
the préampli is on by default.I don't understand why i don't have a better
sound,in the mpc i set -2db thresold and i watching for the peak not go over.Maybe i must touch to the bass,treble,med button on the mixer,but
i have already do this before.
