stuck on note off

so ive chopped a bunch of break up into bits using ReCycle & loaded them into my mpc using zip drives

when i put the sound in they either constantly repeat when you hold down the note or they're just stuck on note off..

why is this?

zip disks are ****?

or is it some thing to do with ReCycle?

Go to trim-loop screen and make sure that LOOP is set to OFF.
Also in the Program sample settings of any sound that does what you described, check if Decay is set to 5. If it's higher value, set it to 5 and it should stop repeating.

loop is set to on for some reason

Yeah, sometimes when you import a sound that was sampled by someone else, you get this setting [loop ON] by default. I get this with samples from sp1200 for example.
