you guys are taking this whole LE thing out of control. the original black looks better anyway.

i deff think the LE looks way sicker than the original...I wonder why they just didn't make the original 2500 like that? I mean the fiber siding shit or what ever it is can't be all that expensive so I doubt the price would have been any higher than the original 2500.

^fiber siding is not even real, but plastic painted to look like it

can we just focus on making quality music instead of focusing on cosmetics.

I mean that LE is cool and all but at the end of the day we all still tapping on 16 pads

I agree it's all about the music. I picked this up over the original 2500 because of the fact that this one was full blown right out of the box more than the looks. As far as looks go IMO the LE looks better than the original regardless of the fact the carbon fibre isn't real.

Doesn't hurt that I got it for 2G's and only 499 people will ever have the same piece.

But straight up it's all about the music and truth be told I can make the same stuff on my 1K.

I'm lovin it though!

in my opinion, the black background to the pad section and the black frame around the transport on the LE ruin it. if the face was completely white, it would look better than the straight black. unfortunately, they cookie cornered, so i think the classic black looks better.

if they had the classic and the LE for sale right next to eachother at the same price with the same features, i'd go for the classic black. i could care less if the LE was 1 out of 500 or 500 out of 500. that's just a gimmick, and i wouldn't be surprised if they started selling the carbon fiber painted sides and the white face so that other people can make their 2500's look like the LE.

First off I never said anything negative bout the LE. besides poiting out the fact sides are fake carbon that's gonna look real nice when the paint start to rub off.

number shit doesnt do jack for me, or neither it adds any value to the mpc. but apparently it makes others bust a nut over it, so I guess akai's reached its goal. and boosted their sales at the same time.

I think 2300 isnt bad price for new unit considering it's already fully expanded with original parts rather than third party and custom paint job.


we can all agree that you all keep counting your numbers and admire how pretty your mpc looks rather than making use out of it and purpose it was designed for.

to me it's a instrument not a piece of furniture so white is cool but so is black. it doest affect my workflow or sound in any shape of form.

to finish up, no I dont want the LE cuz I dont feel the need of feeling cool or boosting my ego

If was to shell out 2g's on my mpc again, I'd grab the 4000 instead. what the **** was I thinking then...
