Yes man it is. Every time i come across some nice stuff i make sure i post it up. Expect it to grow even bigger as time passes. When i get me a better camera i'll start making tutorial vidz and stuff like that.

Well, one way to conqour this would be if your pc has a tv card on it, you should be able to dubb the images using capture s/w or something.

im having real problems getting cubase to recognise the different inputted midi channes!!
any tips! i cant find it in the manual at all!
also the only sync option i can get to work is clock, i hear time code is better, i have selected time code out a in cubase, hooked up midi a to mpc in a and selected timecode in on mpc and nothing! works with clock but with a time lag sometimes which is a pain in the butt!
has anyone worked it out?

I know you've checked out everything under transport, but have you checked out anything under preferences? And I assume your midi is part of the soundcard you're using, right?

no the midi is a midi sport 4x4

To be honest, I doubt you'll find your problem there, but I thought it was worth mentioning anyway. Come to think of it, check the drivers for your midisport. I have two friends that dumped their midisport 8x8's for new motu midi express xt's. Since then, I haven't heard anything from them pertaining to midi issues anymore.

it seems from the cubase forum that cubase does not do MTC out! although there is a setting for it. how odd.
I haev it running via midi clock but the two are way out of sync, is there a way to sort this?

If you're running any "lite" versions of Cubase, then yea you won't be able to transmit MTC. However, if you're using the sl or sx versions, you can transmit timecode.

yeah, aka LIMITED EDITION versions..i learned this the hard way..

naw ! I have SX, I also see there is a option for MTC, maybe i have been mis-informed, i do my seq in mpc, but i have a plug in i use, and i cant get it to work with individual midi tracks so i am wanting to bounce in and out of the computer but if i do a seq on midi in the mpc and then press record on the pc so the mpc tells it the notes the pc goes mad!!
so i do another way and do my seq in the PC and use the mpc as just a drum machine and midi clock the mpc as slave then record the audio from mpc as a drum loop and it is bang out of time !!
man! if you can help you will save a struggling musician!!

Make SX the master, slave the mpc to it via MTC. That's how I'm doing things in my camp. If you want the computer to slave to the mpc then you're gonna have to set the references for timing, smpte & what ever else that's needed to make this happen from within Cubase.
