MPC2500's Compressor

Ok, I've been sleeping. I've had the 2500 for over a year now and just tried the compressor and the eq out. This is some wonderful schyt! I REALLY bought the mix out so much better, and added just enough knock to the drums. It may not be the greatest, but if you haven't tried using it, I'd highly recommend not sleeping on this feature like I was, especially if your thinking about buying a compressor or eq.
I always thought my mixes within the MPC sounded ok, but the difference is VERY noticeable when you hit the bypass button.

A really dope feature. I win the "completely over my head" award for just realizing it! :)
Now I hope I'm not overlooking a track bounce feature. Would really make recording my unorganized sequences a whole lot easier.

Like resampling your sequence to a new sample?

I use the compressor quite often , but I find it pretty dissapointing , I've dealt with dozens of software compressors that do a much better job , the MPC's compressor just isnt drastic enough for me as I vary the settings

just got the 2500 and excited to check out the comp. i use simple DBX and Behringer comps all the time and i'm psyched to have built-in comp on an MPC.

any tips for this one in particular??? i haven't even looked at it yet my 2500 is still in the box i gotta make room 4 it on my desk, the hole where my 2000XL was is filled with coffee cups and wires and resistors and junk...cleaning now...

hmm tips? well pretty much when i start a session i just turn the compressor to on in the mp. that's about all i can tell you about that :wink:

i wish there was a way to meter output level and compression visually like on most compressors, that is my only beef. i've done ok at setting it up by ear for now though. i feel like i have it pretty cranked, but i pretty much only use the MPC for drum samples so its alright 4 now
