yea I was going add sum more ish in the background but I wanted the choppyness of the paino to stand out with the gaps. Its nothing anyone can rythm to just some choppy off beat snippett. fo sho, I feel what u saying tho, thats my novice style.

abdulaziz: your beat was really well orchestrated... i really liked those g-funk leads on there [were those sampled? or do you use an ARP synth vst instrument or how'd you make those? i've been looking for a nice virtual ARP myself]... the only bad thing about your beat was that it hardly used the sample provided here... but aside from that it was tight.

7 1 4: were you ever able to get the sample? or do you still need it posted?

Get my excuses in first: first ever effort on the mpc which I've only had for a month (after years of piano and guitar) and I am struggling to get all the parts to mesh together properly! And the beat isn't that strong cause I was determined to only use elements of the Paul Horn sample, no other samples used!!

Thanks bro. The westcoast lead is the one from reason. My introduction to Hip-Hop was westcoast when I was about 12 years of age so that sound is a part of my brain... I use it on aloooot of my beats haha
