I have a fairly big break collection, but I'm still searching for those really good sounding claps. Any breaks known that have some claps?

turn the mic on and record yourself clapping, it should be easier and faster that way

if you have a GOOD pair of headphones
plug them into the mic jack on your mixer and turn on Record on your MP
then turn on your DAW and press record
put your headphones on down on a flat surface and clap into them
PRESTO!

drums are drums to me dawg...none of us are gonna blow up and even in the slight, slight chance that any of us get any sort of recognition it's not like cats are gonna be like "OMG HE TOOK A CLAP FROM DJ QUIK". Dead Presidents is one of the most classic joints of all time, so what that say

I agree..when are we going to stop being bombarded with all these ringtone rappers?

I also disagree, because it's hard to deny a snappin' Tribe snare.

If you want a dope clap and don't mind sampling rap records try The Clipse "Grindin'".

Its funny how someone can hate sampling from a hiphop joint , wtf is the difference sampling from tribe then sampling from james brown? Just because its in a hiphop its jackn? If its a damn drum sample who gives a shit where it came from if it knocks then its all butter in my opinion.
