Start point is directly related to velocity, so the volumes not going to stay the same. Whats the point?

Ive been chopping sample like this for a while..It is quick!!! For furthing editing of the velocity use the step edit and change the numbers of the vel!! this will get the sample a little more on the money! I know that when I chop this way..maybe one part may be off..I just go to the step mode and fix it there!

This Is a time saver when chopping and the sample cuts itslef off like in mono mode on the s950 or when you assign to the same out put on the SP1200

whaat ?.. damn i never knew you could fix it up like that.. imma try this

to me this seems useless ?
the ''chops'' are placed on shit points. i dont want them there lol.
this should only work with a straight samples like 1/4 drumloop.

i agrea this method for the sample like 1/4 mesure AND if you use the NOTE OFF MODE because when i use the MONO MODE (i tryed) that's cool because you can play the place you want, but, you you can stop the rest of your loop!!!

but anyway i keep this trick in my mind! thanks to shared it!

someone explained earlier that you can alter the beggining points of the sample by editing the velocity in the step edit mode.. havnt tried it yet but it sounds like it would work.

I agree with you. Not much of a shortcut. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm having to mess w/ velocity in step edit a lot to even get the chops close to where I want them. I think it's easier just to straight-up chop. I'm using longer samples though...maybe this works better for a 2-sec sample or something.

damn, i've missed that like hell from the sp... all chops like "mono" so you don't have to assign all that "cuts off:" bullshit..

ima try this!

Honestly it will only work with certain types of files...it would be great for someone out there to post an audio example to get the vibe...

I was able to get working and it's pretty intersting trick...hough it really works best with specific sample types.I still think that actually chopping is better in certain circumstances and this is interesting for othr things. Thanks for the tip though!
