I had my mp for few days now it seem like when i play my drums kick snare and etc its on beat and sounds good but when i record and playback what i just did its all slow and sometimes off beat. I usually do 4 bar loops

I know how to use the metronome and etc and my time correct is cut off , even if i cut the time correct on it still sounds awkward

There must be a way around it.

the same thing was happening to me yesterday,, my beats were off,,, then i would play multiple snare beats and all of a sudden it was two hits instead of 6 fast beats, weird...

hovason... try working at twice the tempo and see if that helps.

right now i just been doing the snare and the kicks separate then go to step edit and put the snares on the 2 and 4 if they are off a little

i just did the double time technique and turned my time signature from 4/4 to 8/4 and that really helped it finally played my drums they way i played them out on the pads

When you do this, do you change it back for playback or do you leave it that way perm?

Maybe in your mind you think its right because you are listening to the metronome but your actually playing it the way its recorded...off.

Maybe you should turn TC on for now.

a good understanding of TC and a better understanding of the sequencer is all you need. the mpc records as you tell it to - TC on will correct your time, go figure, and TC off will record it exactly as played tick for tick
