i never installed my drive wrong, i got mine at VST thank you... i merely replied to others posts about receiving "mpc60 replacement floppies" from GOUGE66 that werent shipped as operational under the 3.10e OS version...

your post clearly shows that you are no literary genius yourself, so take a seat and from now on quit referring to people as "illits" unless you are of course speaking about yourself in the 3rd person...

bottom line flowers ROUTE 66 and its cheerleader squad....

I paid in full 'Andyo' and still got completely dicked over by Route66 and their laughable 'service'. Your paper-thin attempt at defending them only serves to confirm what a shambles they are. If they had ANY sort of integrity then the owner of the company would log in under his/her real name with full contact details, full disclosure, and fess up to the twilight zone they have been operating, with a full and frank apology to all those who were inconvenienced, and an outline of how things are going to change starting right now.

But of course, we all know that will NEVER happen...

fobodafied we already know your lame ass story you posted it to the forum go back and read it again and get a shower dirt bag. Just to show how fing stupid fobodafied is I called Bruce and Richard and talked to them again today about the same old bullshit story about the 3.10 and drives not working. Dumb ass the OS is software....the drive is hardware...the FDC controller is hardware not even remotely related to the OS...the FDC runs the floppy drive NOT THE OS.

Earwolf Ya let's hear you sad ass story how exactly were you dicked over? let me guess you live in Romania and your drive didn't show up overnight? If you had any balls you would steal a phone and call Route 66 yourself and find out what really happened to your drive...maybe I will find out myself. In fact I'm not a pussy...I have one but I'm not acting like one, here's my Email: [email protected] Email me all your info on your drive, your name and address I will actually ask Andy the shipping MGR at Route 66 to track your order and see what happened to it.

Peezie ya your correct the verdict is out...your the graduate of this retard institution, always the guy who wants in on the thread but has nothing of any value to say. What happened to your pic? your momma make you take it down?

You know it's sad you guys are like the special ed's of the MPC group, you can't read write or shower. I will bet none of the thousands of other customers ever have any problems with their MPC drives, but you 3 or 4 idiots are like the goof troop of mail order upgrades and this is where you assemble and cry about it.

I have not defended Route 66 or Forat in anyway but what I have done here is show how much of a bunch of uneducated retards you wantabee musicians really are. It's called leg work but oh ya some retards have no legs.

jokes BEEN on "her", as a route66 customer, acquaintance, and cheerleader...

actually i dont need to go back and find my post, why dont you do the "legwork" yourself since it is so important to you not to defend route666 but to belittle us "illits"... :D

the interesting part, is that my fully functional floppy drive under OS version 2.XX (cant remember the exact version) was deemed inoperable once i installed the 3.10e OS and the SCSI, it was inoperable... of course since it was my first time doing such an upgrade i could have flowers something up, but ive talked to numerous people and triple and quadruple checked my work on numerous occasions, and everything looks good to me... not that i care to track down 3 year old threads or anything, but IIRC i found out that the route66 replacement drives were on this very forum... ACTUALLY you fukn cowardice azz misinforming ROUTE66 rep, i remember reading on route66s OWN WEBSITE ( after the fact of finding out about the incompatibility on HERE ) regarding these "mpc60 replacement floppies" that they are "NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 3000 OS UPGRADE" or something VERY similiar... i also vaguely remember discussions on the 60 yahoo user group about them figuring out the problem with the OS upgrade and those drives... maybe it was simple jumper settings that was fukn with the funcionality of the drives, i dont know and dont claim to know or care that deeply... what i do know is that drives were coming from route66 that multiple people were having problems with in the 3.10e OS, im not sure if i am one of those people either, as i dont know where the drive that was in my 60 came from before i bought it....

the reputation of route66 preceeds them and your lame attempts at saving face... it is perfectly understandable to not be perfect, but when you have a rep for being consistantly imperfect over an extended period of time and in multiple aspects of your "service", and YOU STILL have a hard time even admitting it, and even go at great lengths to MISINFORM and DEFEND, TRYING to save face contrary to the truth, then there is a problem... a problem that noone in the MPC communitty really should be subjected to... if there was no problem, there wouldnt be anything being mentioned concerning a problem would there?~?! you can type all yearlong if you wish, but route66 is not the only option for most of their products, and being that they arent the only option and they have the reputation that they do (dont blame any small group of forum members here, it seems to be a much larger problem with route66's reputation than just on here, do the "legwork" if you must  ) i think the other options are a lot more attractive... 8)

earwolf put it best:

Your paper-thin attempt at defending them only serves to confirm what a shambles they are.

From the webpage and from comments i have always thought that route 66 was a one man operation. I like the idea that they have a shipping manager, when dealing in such a hot product as spare parts for old samplers he must be one stressed out cat.

I find it odd someone unconnected with Route 66 getting so up tight about all this and offering to sort it out. It appears one of the problems is that no-one seems to be able to get in contact with Route 66 to find out whats going on, so what is your "special relationship" that allows you to get in contact with them when no-one else can. I fear the answer is something to do with your user ID and the shipping manager's name being quite similar.... :?

Ok Guys I am the owner of Route 66 and it sounds like I need to clear some things up here, if anyone has any questions or your pissed off about something please ask me here or Email me directly. Im not shy

I can't speak for Andyo and she does not work for us at all but I would hate to meet her in an alley, she is a good customer and a really good MPC tech.

I would love to hear from Earwolf and Kun on your orders and see what or how we can solve the problem. All of our orders go out with tracking and insurance, so Email me all your info and we can get to the bottom of things.

I need to add that we don't sell any drives that will format HD discs, our drives will read them but you have to do the tape over the hole trick first.
This is because of the MPCs FDC controller being set to DSDD 720K.

We have never shipped any drives that were non ver 3 friendly this is just nonsense, it wouldn't matter if the OS was 9.0 because the OS is not running the drive the FDC controller is. This was simply a bad rumor in fact I worked with Bruce on this and we found it to be garbage.

The delay in our product is due to a few things, 1. We hand make/setup and pinout all our drives, this means that we don't have 150 pc just sitting around ready to ship. Because we use the highest quality drive mechanism It's not just a matter of moving a jumper or two, we have to do some custom board level mods on the drives and we test each drive on our in house MPC before we ship it out. 2. Since we are a small company our order policy is first come first serve, so if you order from us and you have 4 MPC drive orders ahead of you will have to wait your turn.

DJ ALX in Greece...after looking into your order history I think we were more than fair to you in fact when your order came up missing we quickly sent you a second one and didn't ask you to pay for it or wait for the first one to come back to us. Like all shippers the biggest problems we have are overseas orders, but unlike most all shippers we are still giving it our best shot. Things happen, orders can get lost and tracking international orders take about a week which is way to long but we always try to do our best to get the product out as fast as we can.

coldtechnician's story is that he indeed placed his order without paying the overseas shipping costs and failed to reply to our emails. In the end we did connect and his order is on the way.

We are making several changes in the next few months (new web site) that will solve the shipping cost problems and make the site much easier to use for ordering. I hope this will help because we want to improve our service and turnaround time.

I have looked in this jumper setup that some people here are talking about but after making the changes I don't see any difference in the drive formatting HD discs..which it's not suspost to do in the first place.

do you claim that the route66studios website NEVER said anything about any mpc60 replacement floppy drives NOT WORKING with the 3.10e OS version?!?!?! :?:
By Route66 Mon Jan 14, 2008 9:58 pm
Hey fobedafied

No...In fact to show how quickly we responded to the rumor, the same day we heard of this we changed the listing on our site to let customers know that there maybe an issue. But within a few days to a week we discovered it was all nonsense and posted that our drives do indeed work with all OS versions. Sorry fobedafied for the confusion we were simply making an attempt to let customers know in advance of a suspected issue that later turned out to be nothing.

well thank you Richard for clearing that up... i humbly apologize for going overboard with my slanderous rantings in my replies to ANDYO... hopefully for everybodies sake, the problems and misunderstandings that it seems some people had will eventually get worked out and everyone can live happily ever after...

that is, until one of us actually does run into ANDYO in a dark alley...
