most trance has big claps many with reverbs if you can extract one with the least or no other sound around it

claps are the hardest thing to record well in a home set up. they're are lots of free clap samples about on line if you dont get any on your dig.

if you do record, layer loads of takes and tweak to get an ensemble sort of sound - one clap sounds wack!
