Hi all great to see a active mpc forum, hope your all dandy!!

I have just bought a mpc2500 (use to own a 2000xl) the reason for my purchase is that we are currently putting together a hardware live set, using the mpc as the brains for drums and outboard synths..

The Problem is that i can't get the mpc2500 to send program bank changes to the nord modular or the t c electronic delays. Which i find strange cos the mpc2000 does it straight away? Is there a know bug?

Everything seems to be setup fine, i can turn on step seq press record and change the patch on the nord which records fine into the mpc but it doesn't transmit back.. and yes mmc out is turned on?

if anyone can shed light or even try there's i'd be very interested to resolve this issue ASAP..

you can send patch changes to the nord by changin the PGM to No1. Highlight this field and press the Window button. You can now use different Sequences to change patches / programs.

If you want to rec the PGM changes live then, you will need the MIDI out from Nord to MIDI in on MPC and vice versa.
Then from the MIDI/SYNC mode, press the F1 (MIDI). Make sure that the Active Track is the same MIDI track that the Nord is using.

Check page 54 for Changing a Sequence by Program Change from an external device.

G luck northern scally.
