Are you seeing it in your [FINDER]? I don't think that the version of OS X would stop any "memory stick" from loading. The 1K is read like a memory stick when loaded. PAD187 does not affect the load of the MPC. I checked the MAC forums on APPLE's home site and there are no "memory stick not read in OS 10.4--" issues. Reboot the Mac if all else fails along with your MPC and try all over again with the USB cord connected when booted....

Good luck

make sure the mac is firstly usb'd to the mpc, before u hit the usb button on the mpc - and i tend to keep them attached at all times and use the usb/mpc button to mount the cf on the desktop AND ALLWAYS PUT IT IN THE MAC TRASH TO "EJECT" BEFORE LEAVING THE MPC LOAD/USB SCREEN!!!

it can take a little time to mount - esp. as the card sizes are larger, also read/copy times can be a bit slow......

is it a macbook or desktop mac?

there are more speedy solutions if theres an external card reader (desktop)/pcmcia slot (laptop).....

?

I think it is because I am not using a memory card. I thought the USB drops would just save to the hard drive on the 1K but i guess not. The manual says i need to save USB drops to the compact flash card.
