still confused...

ok, I was reading the manual and it says that there can be 48 tracks per sequence...Can someone ellaborate on what a track is? I made a sequence and thought that if I mute a pad..which I thought the track would be, it would not play, but for some reason when i mute a track, the entire sequence still plays..what the crap? im lost..little help for this newbie please?

ok ill break this down for you, i was once lost also lol.

so you have all your stuff laid out in pads right.

then you click the sequence button

and you lay down the melod.

that is on track one.

then you push the track button

and you go to track two, and you lay down some drums.

say a kick.

then you go to track 3 and lay down some snares

then you go to track 4 and lay down some hats.

remember to name your tracks so you konw whats on them!

so this essentially makes it so if you flowers up you drum sequence, you can just go erase one "insturment" or whatever without deleting the whole sequence.

think of tracks as kind of like sub sequences.

tracks are how sequences laid out in different sections.

perfect way to break it down, plus it helps alot when you go to bounce out the beat to what ever DAW PROGRAM you use to mix down in....

one more question..do you think it would cause me problems to place a kick and snare on one track? because otherwise it seems you have to place the kick on one track, then go to the next track and wait for that kick to loop around to place the snare

no man, that would be fine, i do that with my kick and snare sometimes!
