controling pads via midi keyboard on MPC1000 W/ JJ OS 4.9 ?

how do I set it up to control my pads with my midi keyboard, midi out from the keyboard to midi in on the MPC, then what?
Im running JJ OS 4.9XX.

all you gotta do is hook the midi cables up and select "pad to internal sound" on the mpc in the midi window and set your keyboard's local control to "off," if it's not strictly a midi controller keyboard.
