been just flipping through the manual, and the ebook.. figuring out how to move around in the display thing.. can't wait to get used to it.

quick question.. if i can plug my guitar into my PC's line in with a 1/4" cable and get sound, i should be able to unplug it and use that same cable to get sound from the MPC right?

i can't get sound yet.. i do have a mixer/amp on order, but in the mean time i should be able to use the PC right? or even just a guitar amp i'd assume. am i off?

thanks a bunch..

Are you going from the OUTs of the MPC to the line in on the PC? Are you using the headphone jack on the MPC or the dedicated outs on the back? Do you have sounds loaded into the 2500? There are no sounds built into it, and you need to load these. If you brought it brand new there might be some factory presets that autoload, but if you bought it used it will most likely not have these anymore and you'll have to load sounds into it via USB, or sample something into it.

Try plugging some headphones into the headphone jack on the MPC, then press the pads. Do you hear any noise? No? then you probably don't have any samples loaded.
