Sure.
Chop in Kontakt and trigger with mpc from Battery or Simpler (in Ableton Live) for example.

the mpc pads are layed out crazy. as in not in order chromatically. that might be your prob.

Good way to solve this is to create a blank program with notes assigned to each pad chromatically, starting with A1 - note 37 and moving up.

By going into program and changing the pad number on each pad or you may get lucky and find a blank pgm file floating around here somewhere. I remember it being a pgm that had the pads in order already. Do a lil searching and you should be good to go.

If anybody has mpcpgm maker for mac it has an option so you can make a program and lay it out in chromatic order. You might try to make a blank one. If not I got that app and I'll throw the file up later.

nah go into the auto chrom function, but dont asign a sound to chrom, click do it. and viola. you have a blank program that is chromaticly laid out for your own disposal.

the reason behind the quirky layout, was to cater for GM midi drum modules. which has a specific mapping.

No. You can have a Track playing the DRUM Program and make it send midi in the same time.

In the main screen - under the Track name, go to the field OFF and turn data whell right to choose the device name and midi channel.
That way you will have your DRUM Program playing and a midi device playing as well.
