so pretty much if you get the jj os update, the 1000 is almost as good as 2000xl in terms of added features

but i will tell you that with the jj os, the mpc1000 far surpasses the 2000xl in terms of added features

is the time stretching feature available with the jj os update is comparable to the 2000xl????

sure, but it will probably not be the hinge of your workflow. no mpc timestretch is fantastic. if i MUST timestretch i'd rather use a DAW app. most the time in jj os you won't have to timestretch because there will usually be another way to accomplish what you want to accomplish without timestretch or other destructive means.

Timestretching will be quicker on the 1000 too, JJ or akai.
