just relax and change the touch response of the pads.

classic example of USER ERROR.

clearly written on like the 2nd line of the online manual:

***Notes***
Those who exchanged the pad for a new pad or are using MPC1000 BK-N need to adjust pad sensitivity first.

http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/%7Empc1000/manual_e.htm

people REALLY NEED TO READ THE MANUAL before making themselves look silly on an online forum

the manual also explains how to replace the operating system in pretty much every possible way... please try a little harder.

ok... know what, guys... i'm gonna take one for the team here... to hopefully make JJ OS some more money and get one more new user on his side... besides, i just smoked a bowl and am in a good mood. 8)

here's how to adjust your new pads in JJ OS (in words i hope you will understand)...

1) press MODE + [PAD 10]

2) press F4 to go into PAD menu

3) at the top of each pad's meter, there is a number... yours is probably currently set to 16... we want to make that higher on all pads....

4) press the ALL button [F6]... this will select the top number of all pads

5) change it to the highest amount possible, which is 25

6) welcome to JJ OS with new pads

this was your get-out-of-jail-free card... i'll expect you to read up a bit next time if you give a **** about this MPC stuff.

great tutorial crossings

i suggest 20, instead of 25. 25 is very very sensitive, it's more difficult to control your aftertouch this way if you use it!

i appreciate the people who actually tried to help

and the reason i want to uninstall it is not because of the pad sensitivity, that was just the first thing that came to my head

i just dont want to risk having this thing get messed up and then have guitar center tell me that they cant cover it because i installed a 3rd party os

trust us... there wouldn't be an entire forum dedicated to this OS if it was gonna mess up your system... in time you'll realize that it's the AKAI OS that messes up your files and is full of bugs and not the other way around.

if you do return it to GC, just reinstall os 2.11 from AKAI before you do. they'll never know, and you'll never have to worry about it again.

glad you're digging that chop shop, it's real nice isn't it?
