OS Problems

Okay, so heres the deal. I attempted to install a card reader into my xl (I later found out the card reader was not compatible). Anyways, prior to attempting the install I had never had to load an os when booting up the mp, 1.14 automatically loaded when I powered it up. Now, for some reason, everytime I power the 2kxl up, I have to load an os.

Is this reversible??? Did I do damage to some of the circuitry or something?? If anyone has experienced this let me know.

you shouldnt have to load the OS every time.. did you save the OS to FLASH ROM ?

I have to load from floppy disk. I have both 1.14. and 1.20, both work fine.

I found out the card reader was not compatible with my xl (read-only). I currently have the machine in its original configuration
