that IS the business. this is fantastic. VERY pleased about this one, a true old-but-good feature that i believed was in the mpc1000 when i first bought it.

we literally have NNXT in an MPC form now.

my basslines will suddenly sound a lot better.

i just reported a possible bug. when recording with portamento (on), all notes record but they don't all play back. any body else have this same problem?

ok so if you keep it recording it will only play every other note but when you turn record off it plays all the notes. hopefully i didnt waste jj's time with my bug submission

Why is my DSL so slow? Imma check out the portamento problem as soon as my stupid AT&T service finishes downloading the MASSIVE files ANTONYM was so kind to share with us.

there are definite snags in 0.81, the crash impedes work. must wait til 0.82

if you plan on bug hunting, please use os2 .82 to help out, otherwise wait til the next one.

The portamento is a nice addition.
Tried it with an organ INST today. Sounded much more lively.

It does not work ACROSS multi sample instruments though. It works within one range but not between two samples. I wonder if this can be made to work globally on an INST just like the LFO?

for example:
range 35-60 sample 1
range 61-127 sample 2

portamento works within one range but not across the two.

Wishlist:
1. I don't really care to see Track or Prgm in the track mixer window since you can guess anyway by seeing which has the FX section etc in it.
I would be great to have the track names displayed in the track mixer window and save having to go to TRACK Mute and back again.

2. It would be great to have 2 velocity switchable layers in INST

Also portamento only seems to work if your holding down the pad or key whilst playing the next pad/key. In other words if you take your finger off the pad, leave a gap and play another pad, there is no glide between the notes.

I think that's the nature of portamento though that it only works that way. Correct me if I am wrong...

Ahh, yes I think on old style analogue synths you can lift your finger off. I guess the mpc would have no way to memorize the pitch of a note that isn't actually played?

on my emu esi-32 , the glide is applied whatever you do.
certain vsts do it aswell.
