Getting started with sofware only...

Hi, I would like to know with which software i can start beatmaking with feeling like using a mpc

Thats is to say, sampling sounds, and link them to my keyboard for instance ?

Cubase with virtual synth will do it ?? Im on mac..

im not sure if fx expansion's guru is mac compatible, but that is a good choice. maybe logic express.. iv heard good things about it, but im not sure about the learning curve.

i'd say FLStudio because you can do almost anything with it, but it's not MAC compatible.

Hey Guru looks great, with akai-like mini pads

Looks also simple, and mac friendly, im downloadin it..

I been tryin to make music since 1999

MPCs biggest capabilites for me is the sound, and beceause of that the swing comes from them, and soft samplers won't bring you that

in FL studio, you can make everything you want to very easy, but if you use Mac, I'd suggest Logic or Digital performer (a great program)

if you want the pads you can buy an MPD or triggerfinger for your mac
