jj os2 main screen

hello all... i've got a 2500 so i'm still waiting but i'm just curious about the os2 main screen.. right in the center, this looks like a map of midi information for whatever track is highlighted. is this true?

Its a condensed version of the grid edit that you'd find on your 2500 os and on mode/pad 15 of the mpc1000 jjos1. Its actually really useful ..and i was quite sceptical at first.

yeah at first i thought it was cool but not really useful
but now i'm recording lots of my stuff in main screen instead of midi grid edit.

all my deep editing happens in midi grid edit but just throwin stuff down w/ tc off often happens in main screen cuz of that nice little display
