About saving Projects...

I am new to the MPC and I was woundering what is the best way to save a beat I have made? For example, I loaded my own drum sounds on the MPC and made a beat but now I'm, stuck on how to save the samples and the beat as one project?

Can anyone help me understand this better? Thanks,

personally i save all programs and samples for the beat into a new folder. Also save the seqences to that folders as well. I havn't saved anything as a project but would imagine it works the same way. Save all your stuff name it. Then when you back to load up it will all be there under the name you created for the folder- hope it helps - peace

When you go to Save mode, the option you need is "Save Entire Memory." Then create a new folder for the project and save into that. When you need to reload, load the project file from that directory - it clears out the memory and loads up your while project.

and to elaborate on that save it as a autoload folder from the save entire memory prompt so the most recent project your working on just pops up next time you start up your MPC1000 - when you want to work on something else - copy the Autoload folder to your hard drive so it doesn't autoload and start fresh -
